What's open and what's closed on Friday, July 4, 2014? Many people are searching Google to find out if banks, Walmart, the Post Office, liquor stores and grocery stores are open on the 4th of July.

Because Independence Day is a federal holiday, there will be no mail delivery on Friday. All post offices will be closed as well as federal and state offices and the stock market. The majority of banks are closed on the Fourth of July, so you will have to head to the ATM if you need cash on Friday.

Walmart and Target are popular places to get last minute cookout supplies or fireworks. Most stores will be open holiday hours and all Super Walmart stores are open 'round the clock. If you need to go the supermarket or liquor store, call ahead in case the store is operating on a special holiday schedule.

Most restaurants will be open for business on Friday. If you are a fan of chain restaurants like TGI Fridays or Applebees, make sure to check this list of restaurant freebies and deals. Many restaurants know that people will be heading out to see fireworks on Friday night, so they are offering special 2-for-1 meal deals and free appetizers.

Here's a recap of what's open and what's closed on July 4, 2014:
