In just two days, WWE presents the 2013 Royal Rumble, live from Phoenix, Arizona. Five matches have been made official. Here is the card as well as my predictions:
(Pre-show) United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro © vs. The Miz
Cesaro wins here as he continues to creep toward the main event scene.
Tag Team Championship: Daniel Bryan and Kane © vs. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes
I like Team Hell No to retain here in what should be an entertaining bout.
Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Big Show
I wonder if either of these two guys will be World Champion come Wrestle Mania. Del Rio wins here and retains.
WWE Championship, if The Shield interferes on behalf of CM Punk, he is stripped of the title: CM Punk © vs. The Rock
I see Punk retaining here, setting up a rematch between the two at the 2013 Elimination Chamber.
Royal Rumble match, winner gets a World Title match at Wrestle Mania:
There are only a handful of guys who could win this. Those in my opinion are John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus or Randy Orton. I suppose there is an outside chance for guys like The Miz, Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro, Daniel Bryan or Kane. Will a big name return (Triple H, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker) to win much like Cena and Edge have in the past? I’m going with Orton to win the Rumble.
