The Viera Fall Festival & Oktoberfest will be held October 25 - 27 in Viera. This three-day outdoor festival, will take place in the heart of Viera across the street from the Brevard County GovernmentCenter.
Amusement rides and midway
There will be fun rides, such as a Ferris Wheel and Bumper Cars, for children and adults as well as a midway. Tickets will be available the days of the festival.
A Pumpkin Patch with pumpkins for sale will be open during the festival. On Sunday at 3 p.m the Childrens Decorated Pumpkin Contest will happen. And the adult Carved Pumpkin Contest will happen at 3:15 p.m. Pumpkins may be purchased in advance of the festival at the Church of Viera and on Saturday and Sunday at the festival.
People entering the Pumpkin contests are asked to prepare their pumpkins in advance and bring them to the main stage at 2 p.m on Sunday for display and then judging. All sales proceeds will benefit the Church of Viera Youth programs.
Arts and Crafts show
Local artists will exhibit their handcrafted leather goods, homemade candles, custom woodwork and much more. There will be something for every taste and decor so it will be a good opportunity to support local artists while getting a head start on holiday shopping.
Many colorful food trucks will be parked offering a wide variety of delicious American and international foods and desserts including German fare. In addition, a wide variety of German and American beers and cocktails will also be available around the festival and in the German Beer Garden tent. Warsteiner will be provide German brews, yards of ale and souvenir boots of favorite German beers.
Hope 4 Heroes Walk
As part of the Hope 4 Heroes Walk Series, there will be a sponsored walk at 9am with registration at 8am. The walk is open to the public and all funds raised will be used for the troops.
Live German music
The festivities will begin on Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. with carnival rides, food and German music. On Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m. there will be German themed music provided by Heir Dan and Mz Suzan. The Chardon Polka Band, who headline some of the largest Oktoberfests in the country, will perform on Saturday and Sunday.
Halloween costume contests
On Saturday, at 3 p.m., there will be a Halloween age-specific costume contest. All children may enter one of the different age divisions. All children entering the contest will be recognized and will receive a ribbon for entering and there will be trophies and prizes for the top three winners in each age division.There is an entry form available on the web page.
On Saturday, at 7 p.m there will be an adult Halloween Costume Contest. Entrants will be interviewed on the Hoffbrauhaus stage and winners will receive valuable prizes and trophies. At 8 p.m there will be the Frightnight Spooktacular Party featuring many popular Halloween characters singing all the great Halloween musical favorites.
