The Milwaukee Mile, located at the Wisconsin State Fair Park, has a long history, having hosted its first auto racing event in 1903. The track has hosted many series over the years, including IndyCar, NASCAR, and USAC.
The original purpose of the track was to host horse racing, but it went on to host both short auto races of five-, ten-, and 15-miles and 24-hour endurance races. It was also the home of the 1939 NFL Championship Game and the home of the Milwaukee Chiefs of the American Football League in 1941.
Since 2002, the track has seen many updates: new grandstands, concession areas, updating the infield road course, a new critical care/media center, pit road improvements, and more. The track will once again host Milwaukee IndyFest on Saturday and Sunday, June 14th and 15th. The event is once again brought to the fans by Andretti Sports Marketing.
