2013 track profile: Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca

Formerly known as Leguna Seca Raceway, Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca was built in 1957 in Monterey County, California, and had seen some great racing throughout its 50-plus year history from IMSA GT. GRAND-AM, Trans-Am, Champ Car, MotoGP and the American Le Mans Series among others. In 2013, the 2.238-mile, 11-turn road course will host five major events.

The American Le Mans Series kicks off the major event schedule on May 9th through 11th, followed by the MotoGP World Championship’s Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix on July 19th through 21st. The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, featuring the Chevrolet Corvette, takes place August 16th through 18th, and the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival, featuring the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, hits the track September 7th and 8th. The eni FIM Superbike World Championships close out the 2013 season on September 27th through 29th.
