2013, unfortunately, was a year that saw its fair share of crime, on both national and local level.

In March, the nation reacted in shock when there was a bombing at the Boston Marathon, one of the nation's most famous sporting events. Throughout the year 2013, the nation also watched with both horror and fascination as the murder trial of accused Arizona murderess, Jodi Arias was covered by both national cable channels and network news programs.

Additionally, several high-profile shootings occurred across the nation. These events helped continue the debate about nationwide gun control.

At a local level, various crimes of concern occurred that shocked and horrified many.

What do you think was the biggest crime story of this year?
