The 2012 Super Bowl has only been history for a week, yet the machine that is the NFL is already looking at the 2012 season schedule and the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans. So the question is, can the New Orleans Saints do something no team has ever done in the 46 year history of the Super Bowl? That is actually play in the Super Bowl when it is in your home city.
The Dallas Cowboys were hoping to do that in Super Bowl XLV two seasons ago, and were hyped by the press to be the first team to pull off this feat, but they failed to even make the post season.
Las Vegas odds currently have the Saints at 6/1 odds to win Super Bowl XLVII, putting them only behind the Green Bay Packers as the odds makers favorite to win next year’s championship.
Making the Super Bowl is hard enough, but if a team could make it to the big game the year there city was hosting it...man what a home field advantage that would be!

With the 2013 Super Bowl being in New Orleans next February, you know Saints fans are dreaming of this scenario, and as long as you have Drew Brees at quarterback along with that high flying Saints offense, this could be the year it may actually happen.
