The SHOT SHOW which is the largest gun, paramilitary and hunting show in the world starts today in LAS VEGAS with an introduction to the press of many of the new firearms, with an opportunity to test drive them on a range. The main show starts tomorrow at the Sands Convention Center, Las Vegas.
If you are not familiar with the SHOT SHOW, it is probably because it is a closed show, open only to the media, to distributors and dealers, as well as military and police representatives from around the world.
The show which will last through the week will provide us with a look into the future of hunting, the last trends, newest equipment, and will have a number of TV celebrities like KaCey Dixon and Cameron Hanes, just to name a couple will be dotted around the show floor and talking about their favorite gear. This show introduces the latest of not only every firearm manufacturers products, but air rifles, backpacks, tree stands, ATV's, flash lights, clothing, and much, much more. One such example of a new introduction is the Glock 30s, announced just today! Another, PENTAX RICOH IMAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION (PENTAX) today announced the introduction of a new mini waterproof red dot sight to its Gameseeker (tm) line of sport optics gear.

Steyr Arms has announced that Khyber Interactive Associates founder and President Wes Doss, Ph.D., will be at the Steyr booth (#10246) Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. during the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas to present a tactical seminar.
Doss is an internationally recognized firearms, tactics and use-of-force instructor who primarily works with military and law enforcement personnel. His seminar will offer an informative look at the advantages of the various weapons platforms from Steyr Arms and their benefits in dynamic real-world situations.
Maybe of slightly less interest to the hunters, but still of interest are the Swat vehicles, armored clothing, riot police gear and other paramilitary equipment.
Representatives, Chris Dolnack -National Shooting Sports Foundation, Jeff Crane - Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation, Dan Ashe - U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Jim Cucuruto from the National Shooting Sports Foundation will be releasing new reports on the participation in and the economic impact of hunting, this to be held on Jan 17th at a meeting in the SHOT SHOW Press Conference room.
