Starting the lineup of new products from Carbon Express are the MAXIMA RED arrows, followed by the PILE DRIVE Extreme small diameter arrows, the MUTINY Slasher arrows and the LAUNCH PAD precision flight system.
MAXIMA RED arrows are a high tech carbon arrow with stiffer ends and controlled flex, claiming to give tighter grouping when using broadheads by managing how the arrow flexes during flight. These arrows are checked to within 1/10,000 of an inch, with a maximum error in straightness of +/- 0.0025", and are precisely matched for weight in each boxed set, to ensure consistency. MAXIMA RED arrows claim to control the flexing of the arrow so well that it takes only two spine sizes to cover the range of 40-92 lbs draw weight bows. Maxima Red arrows have a comparable weight to the Maxima Hunter arrows, so therefore it is said that one can upgrade from the latter to the former without having to change the setup of the bow.
PILEDRIVER Extreme SMALL DIAMETER come in 6 and 12 pack sets, matched by weight with a weight tolerance of +/- 2 grains, shafts have a maximum deviation of +/- 0.004". These arrows use a carbon steel insert and fits standard broadheads making it significantly stronger than micro -diameter shafts. Since this insert weighs in at 44 grains, it moves the weight forward to increase downrange accuracy.
MUTINY arrows have a high polish finish said to reduce noise while drawing an arrow on a rest, also come in matched 6 and 12 packs, are matched to within +/- 2.0 grains, and +/- 0.006" is the maximum deviation in straightness. They also utilize a compact low profile vane.
MUTINY SLASHER arrows also new for 2013 have similar specifications to the MUTINY arrow, but with increased control of the straightness at +/- 0.003" being the maximum tolerance.
LAUNCHPAD illuminated precision nock system ensures controlled arrow release and true arrow flight, using a concentric design to center the nock in the arrow for more consistent performance, by engineering four axis straightness within 0.001". These release activated illuminated light weight nocks have long life batteries 8-50 hours depending on color, and sport high visibility LED's in Red, Blue, Green or Pink. New in this range of nocks are the non illuminated Launchpad precision nocks that fit all Carbon Express shafts with a 0.234 and 0.244 inside diameter, and come in Clear, Clear Green, Orange, Yellow and pearl.
