The Easter Bunny is readying some eggs for the annual annual Easter Egg Hunt in Rutland, Mass. The Recreation Department of Rutland, Mass. hosts the annual family-friendly event on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10 a.m., one week before Easter (March 31, 2013).
The fields and yard surrounding the Rutland Community Center will be covered with plastic surprise-filled eggs for the kids to find and collect. Kids are separated into age groups, which ensures kids of all ages will be able to collect their fair share of eggs.
Tips for a good experience at the Annual Rutland Easter Egg Hunt:
1. Dress for the weather and wear boots. In previous years it's been cold and it has even snowed.
2. Follow the age groups. Parents, be sure to have your kids in the right age groups to keep it fair for everyone.
3. Bring a basket. If you don't have a handled Easter basket, bring the one that was used for Halloween. A plastic or reusable grocery bag works, too.
4. Open your eggs inside the Rutland Community Center. It's fun to go inside and open the eggs. Kids get to keep the surprises and candy inside. There are boxes provided for the empty plastic eggs. The eggs are reused each year.
