2013 Portland Seafood and Wine Festival (Photos)

Although February dawned sunny and bright, throngs were driven indoors to Portland's 2013 Seafood and Wine Festival at the Oregon Convention Center.

With over 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, there was plenty of room to see food and drink wine. Friday and Saturday were great antecedents to Super Bowl Sunday. There was something for everyone to sample, see and do.

A number of wineries showed up, sampling out their vintages like Hip Chicks do Wine for just a dollar a taste. Hip Chicks brought their gamut, but standout favorites included their Bad Girl Blanc, Drop Dead Read and Vin Nombril (Bellybutton wine—it's so good you just might show your bellybutton).

Other outstanding Oregon wineries included J Wrigley, Arcane, Barking Frog and David Hill. Some of Oregon's finest. There was plenty of delicious eats to try as well, including fish tacos, chowder, scallops and amazing clam pizza from Al Forno Ferruzza. Veremente, delicious!

While some vendors noted that the event was not quite as populated as years past, many exhibitors looked forward to the Newport Seafood and Wine festival that is quickly approaching on February 21-24.
