“This Sport Turismo Concept is as well, showing that there is no contradiction between sportiness and functionality.” Those were the words of Porsche’s head of design Micheal Mauer as he was discussing the inspiration behind the next generation Porsche Panamera in light of Porsche releasing a teaser video of a rolling example last year. Now Theophilus Chin, renowned for his rendering skills in the automotive community, has released his latest render on the four door Porsche.

What Porsche has produced and what the render does justice to are the classic characteristic body lines found on modern Porsche’s today all the while venturing into a design direction that many Porsche faithful’s just aren't comfortable with. Porsche fans never really got used to much change as there iconic 911 hasn’t changed in overall design in years. The Porsche Panamera Sports Turismo aims to break those stereotypical attitudes and beliefs with a fresh design and something different.
What it has under the head also complements its radical direction. Power comes in the form of a 335 horsepower V6 aided in parallel with a 95 HP electric motor capable of close to 20 miles of gas free driving on its own. a reviewer noted that the Panamera's driving dynamics were close to that of the 911, and it "seems to occupy the no-man's-land between really good sports sedans and proper sports cars", and so far the Panamera has won every comparison test against other four-door performance cars on the market such as the Maserati Quattroporte and Aston Martin Rapide.
Now Porsche aims to lead with design as well as performance.
