The 2013 red carpet fashion season kicks off with the People's Choice Awards tonight, Jan. 9. From who's wearing whom and what, to who will make the best or worst dressed on the red carpet, fashion fans are looking forward to this year's red carpet trends, wins and losses.
For fashion observers, tonight’s red carpet is a stylish preview of the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and ultimately, the Academy Awards red carpet. All our favorite fashionistas will rock tonight's red carpet in their ‘2013 red carpet season debut’ dresses, gowns and pant ensembles.
We start the night off with a bang. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ actress, Kaley Cuoco returns to host the show for a second time.
The host chose a chic Christian Siriano dress, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry for her red carpet appearance. As always we expect some dress changes during the show.
Fashionista Kaley Cuoco is no stranger to the People’s Choice Awards red carpet. One of our favorite looks is the pink Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 dress she rocked to the 2012 People’s Choice Awards. From the floral details to the embellishments, her style then was soft and romantic.
Cuoco, who is also nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actress says that though winning the award is important she is more focused on her repeat hosting duties, Parade reported on Jan. 6. “I’m thrilled to be hosting again,” Cuoco told the publication. “When they called to ask me back, I thought they had the wrong number! I’m super flattered and looking forward to a great show.” Cuoco is up against Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara and Zooey Deschanel in her award category.
Justin Bieber leads the nominee pack with five nominations, followed by Adam Levine and Channing Tatum with four each.
The 2013 People Choice Awards will feature live performances by Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Jason Aldean. Other stars scheduled to attend include Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Nina Dobrev, Chloë Grace Moretz, Olivia Munn, Ellen DeGeneres, Johnny Galecki, Regina King, Marisa Tomei, Jared Padalecki and Josh Hutcherson.
