2013 Oscar Predictions

For Oscar devotees, there are few things quite like a tight, neck-to-neck race. Though as exciting as it is, it also proves to be the perfect breeding ground for neurotic second-guessing. Should I flip some of my predictions around? Will my riskier picks end up being a mistake? We Oscar buffs take this stuff seriously!

I’m usually pretty confident in my selections, but this year certainly poses its share of head-scratchers. Some are sure locks -- like “Argo” for Best Picture and Anne Hathaway for Supporting Actress – while others had me changing my prediction every other day, like the current three-way tie between Christoph Waltz, Tommy Lee Jones, and Robert De Niro for Best Supporting Actor. And need I even mention the perplexing Best Director race? With “Argo” as the front-runner and director Ben Affleck not even nominated, who will be the winner is anyone’s guess.

But don’t worry, we won’t be left wondering for long. All will be revealed tonight at the 85th annual Academy Awards, which airs on ABC at 8:30 p.m. EST. Check out my picks below, and get your ballots ready!
