2013 Oregon roller derby all-star team starter: Scald Eagle

Back when this list covered the entire northwest, Rose City's Scald Eagle won the Most Valuable Player award in 2011. This year she finished 1st overall in all-star voting, but tied for 4th in the Most Valuable Player portion of the vote. Here is what some of the voters had to say about her...

"She's Scald fucking Eagle! Scald is such a talented athlete. She brings an excitement to each jam with her obvious competitive nature but always seems to be so sportsmanlike that people appreciate getting hit by her. Try to not smile while watching her enter and exit a pack, I dare you. Even her competition roots for her." - Sailor Cherry

"Come on...who doesn't love Eagz?!" - Frankie Facebreaker

"She continues to force people to change their gameplans to account for her presence behind the jam line, and that is probably the biggest impact a skater can have on the game itself. On a side note, I am really excited to see her little sister come up through the ranks now at Rose!" - Thurston Gore

"She makes me patriotic." - Rocket Queen

"Scald is a true leader and ambassador for the sport. Rose City can build around her as they prepare for the future." - Anonymous

"This dynamic blocker and devastating jammer can light up the track with her enthusiasm for the game." - Anonymous
