2013 Oregon roller derby all-star team starter: Jesus Feist

Jesus Feist of the Rose City Rosebuds finished 4th overall in the all-star voting for Oregon, giving her a spot in the "starting lineup." She also finished 5th in the MVP race. Here is what some of the voters had to say about her...

"A terror on the track. Awesome person and awesome blocker." - Mama Tempest

"This woman- she knows how to play roller derby. It takes a special kind of attention and control to be able to play with the different skill levels that are on the track. It doesn't matter if Jesus is playing with her Home Team that has a ton of new girls, her Rosebud Travel Team that has a ton of her best friends, or a USARS team- she brings her best game and her best intentions. She has her mental game on lockdown- do the best you can, be the best teammate, there is something to smile about (or if nothing else there is a cute animal video on the internet that will make you laugh). She is the ultimate utility player." - French Tickler

"For her age, Jesus Feist is the smartest derby player in the PNW - possibly the world. I have had the honor of announcing for her numerous times throughout her junior derby career, and cannot wait to see how she contributes to the adult league when she ages out. Jesus is one of those people that is there to pick up a teammate if feeling down, and always has encouraging words for her leaguemates." - Mike Chexx
