The 2013 NIT bracket is out and for Kentucky fans it's a bitter sweet pill to swallow. Less than one year from NCAA basketball domination, the Wildcats are once again a No. 1 seed - in the NIT Tournament.
SB Nation reported on March 17 that the Wildcats will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming NIT tourney.
Having to deal with a lot of key players bolting for a big pay day in the NBA, the Cats had their share of struggles during the 2012-13 season but they still can have a little redemption and a positive outlook for the upcoming season by winning the NIT Tournament.
The Wildcats are the a No. 1 seed in the NIT along with Southern Miss, Alabama and Virginia.
The NIT doesn't get as much press as the NCAA Tournament, but the action is just as thrilling for hoops fans.
Early Las Vegas odds have Kentucky as the overall favorite at 2/1.
