2013 Nikki Rich Fall/Winter Fashion Collection highlights LA Fashion Week (Photos)

More photos here - Several hundred fashion enthusiasts, celebrities, music fans, friends and industry giants from around the globe packed into the Concepts Los Angeles, Siren Studios in Hollywood over the weekend. Lots of gray and black colors dominated this year’s fashion show on opening night (Sat., March 09, 2013) of Nikki Lund & Richie Sambora Fall/Winter Collection. It was definitely the highlight of this year’s LA Fashion Week (March 06-17, 2013).

It’s tough to imagine how Nikki Lund can top each year, but she does it with flair, a natural ease as if she writing music while she designs her newest Collection of a modern lifestyle brand for a new generation.

"As I get older I want more functionality and affordable clothes. It's important that stuff is washable and you do not want to have to take it to the cleaners every time after wearing it," she said with a smile.

Even more fascinating than Lund’s fashion label, White Trash Beautiful or her Collection of sheer blouses in a palette of black, teal and gray, sexy gowns and cropped blazers, is how she hooked up with guitarist Richie Sambora of the Bon Jovi fame.

"I had a clothing line before called; “Eccentric Symphony and Richie Sambora called me one day and wanted some items off the rack. One thing led to another and we came out with our own clothing line, which is how we team up," Lund explained.

It’s refreshing to note that Nikki Lund is a California native, LA based fashion designer, has been widely recognized for her sophisticated, fashion-forward designs. She has a background in and passion for music. Lund spent years perfecting her songwriting skills and performing with the band Secret Mind before going solo. At the same time, Lund joined the design team at Jill Stuart in an effort to keep her interest in fashion.

In 2005, Lund launched the loungewear line Eccentric Symphony. Interest in the line, and her band, grew huge. Not surprising, Lund also made her own stage clothes, attracting a growing audience for her music and her natural sense of style – and grabbing the attention of fellow musician Richie Sambora.

What followed was the birth of White Trash Beautiful and Nikki Rich

One of her biggest influences are Versace, Alexander McQueen and Cynthia Vincent to name a few.

"No one does dresses like Versace," she said. Versace has fashion ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear, watches and fine jewelry fragrances for Women and Men. But Lund loves the dresses the most.

Co-designed by Nikki Lund & Richie Sambora, the duo is beautifully bridging the gap between designer and contemporary fashion. Merging luxe textiles (reflective material) with craftsmanship, Nikki Rich offers a unique designer a sense of beauty and at an affordable price.

What's next for Nikki Rich?

“We are going to be launching Richie's Music on Clothes on the "G Drive" it's with Richie Sambora - "Aftermath of the Lowdown", she said.

It's Sambora’s third solo record, after Stranger In This Town (1991) and Undiscovered Soul (1998). The new record was released on an independent label (Dangerbird Records) for the first time in his career.
