The shortened 48 game 2012-13 NHL schedule begins Saturday with a boat load of games, including our Detroit Red Wings traveling to St. Louis to battle the Blues at 8 p.m. The Wings will then travel to Columbus for a contest with the Blue Jackets on Monday before coming home to open for their first game at Joe Louis Arena when they welcome in the Dallas Stars.
