In recognition of New Year's Eve 2013, fireworks, confetti, balloons and pop stars are the call of the evening in New York, Times Square, on Broadway. Festivities began at 3 p.m.
and will end at 12:15 a.m.
The traditional New Year's Eve in Times Square began in 1904 and hasn't stopped yet.

Attendees are admonished to dress with warmth in mind and to avoid caffeine and alcohol. Yeah, like that's going to happen.
Nevertheless, the shows are incredible and the crowds are hungry and maddening.
