Merry Christmas! It may be the holiday season, but for some NBA teams it is just another day on the 82 game schedule. Fortunately for NBA fans Christmas Day will bring several intriguing match-ups all day long, and the players will be wearing something they haven’t worn before – sleeves!
NBA players will be sporting a new look for the Christmas Day games, but not everyone is excited about the move, especially LeBron James.
According to Yahoo! Sports on Dec. 23, James and several of the Heat players aren’t too happy with the new sleeved look or feel of the jerseys.
"I can’t have my shooters out there worrying about some sleeves and not shooting the ball.” James said.
The jerseys to be worn today do resemble more of a soccer look than a NBA fashion statement, but as we all know sports is a business first nowadays so if the NBA can sell jerseys with this move, then why not?
Well even if LBJ isn't thrilled with the new look, the Christmas jerseys are a hot item already with fans as sales are taking off.
Will this new look catch on? Time will tell, but you never know. The “Fab 5” at Michigan seemingly changed the way basketball players wear their shorts going to a much longer and looser look compared to the old-school style.
