It's finally here. The annual Motorama is finally here. This is Harrisburg's only indoor motocross race of the year and it is a race anticipated by not only motocross fans and racers but by all kinds of race fans. That's because of the large number of show vehicles that are on display every year. If there is a vehicle race of any kind during the summer it is on display this weekend at Motorama.
There is also a huge amount of remote control racing taking place in the Equine arena all weekend. These racers will also wonder around to check out all that Motorama has to offer in between their main events. So don't be surprise if you strike up a conversation with someone sitting next to you in the large arena and it is their first time watching a live arenacross race.
This will cause the large arena to seem small on Saturday night because most of the AX fans will be coming out to watch their favorite riders compete in the high intensity racing that is arenacross. So you want to make sure to get there early in order to find a good seat. Also be aware if you get up to walk around to other show areas don't be surprised if the seat you were in earlier is now occupied. You want to always remember that at Motorama there is no assigned seating and if you move your feet you lose your seat.
If you don't like fighting those types of crowds and worrying about losing your seat you can always check out the other exciting action going on. There is two days of Motorama. The best way to enjoy it is to plan watching some AX racing on Saturday but concentrate most of your time with the speed show and remote control racing and then come back Sunday and spend most of your time watching the AX racing. They will have the same racers competing both Saturday and Sunday so if everyone gets through Saturday's racing unscathed then Sunday's racing will be just as good without the big crowds, a.k.a plenty of seating. Also Sunday's entry pass is five dollars less so you will even be saving money and who doesn't like saving money right.
Prices:
- Single adult admission for Saturday: $25.00
- Single adult admission for Sunday: $20.00
- Single child (6-12) admission for Saturday or Sunday: $10.00
- Kids 5 and younger are free
