The 2013 MLB World Series live stream and TV schedule picks up with Game 4 in St. Louis on Sunday night. The latest meeting between the Red Sox and Cardinals, comes after a controversial play (and call) happened at the end of Game 3, resulting in a St. Louis victory, and 2-1 series lead. The latest Red Sox vs. Cardinals televised and live streaming MLB game will be presented via FOX and the MLB website for international viewers.
According to ESPN.com in a Oct. 27 report, Clay Buchholz will get the start for the Red Sox tonight on the mound, despite not being fully healthy. However, even Buchholz has pointed out that he doesn’t believe “anybody, especially at this time of the season, is 100 percent.” The star Boston pitcher has a 5.40 ERA with no record since he went 12-1 with a 1.74 ERA in his 16 regular season starts. He’ll be counted on to try to limit St. Louis tonight, as Boston looks to even the series while playing away.
Buchholz told the media with regards to his pitching tonight:
"Giving the team a chance to win, that's my goal. And to trust your pitches and to throw them to the best of your ability, that's what I've worked up to up to this point, and that's where I'm at."
On the other side will be Cardinals pitcher Lance Lynn who went 15-10 this past season with a 3.97 ERA and 198 strikeouts. His most recent success came with two wins against the LA Dodgers in the National League Championship Series (NLCS). Despite Lynn not being mentioned along with other top Cardinals pitchers, manager Mike Matheny still has confidence in his starter, telling the media:
"I think he's one of the guys that gets overlooked as we start talking about the youth of the staff. Lance is a guy that won 18 games for us last season and has done well in the postseason, and he does carry himself like a guy that's been around a while. But I believe he's still a young pitcher and still learning, still adapting."
A controversial call ended last night’s game, with the umpire making the “obstruction” call over a trip-up at the third base area. The call allowed the winning run to score at home plate, with the umpire saying the runner would have scored if not for the Red Sox player getting in his path. Despite the tough way of losing the game, Boston now needs to re-focus and attempt to get a win on the road, or they’ll quickly be down 3 games to 1 in this 2013 World Series.
The odds makers have given close odds to the two competitors in tonight’s Game 4. Boston is listed at about a -107 to -110 at many sports books, while St. Louis is around -103 to -105. The over/under is set to 7 1/2 runs after last night’s game went over that total of 7. Expect the weather to be clear with a game temperature of 55 degrees reported.
Tonight's Game 4 between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals has an 8:15 p.m. EST start time from Busch Stadium. FOX will continue to provide televised coverage of the game for cable and satellite TV viewers, while there is also the option for live stream viewing, but only for international viewers. To see the live stream online, international viewers need to head over to the MLB Postseason TV subscription service for more details. Unfortunately for United States and Canadian fans, televised coverage on Fox is the only option to see tonight's Game 4 action.
