2013 MLB power rankings spring training edition: Tigers debut at No.1

It's time to think MLB baseball as the boys of summer have officially opened up Spring Training 2013! Pitchers and catchers officially reported this week for all 30 MLB teams and we are less than 10 days from preseason baseball action.

According to SB Nation on Feb. 13, the first day of workouts is in the books and the spring games are right around the corner.

With just a little over a month from Opening Day, many teams including the Yankees, Red Sox and Rangers are coming into this season with many questions about their clubs.

Will the Yankees have enough pitching, can Texas adjust to life after Josh Hamilton and how much are the Boston Red Sox in disarray as they will have their third new manager in three years.

Here is a look at my first MLB power rankings of the season. Since they are preseason rankings, they are bound to change quickly.

The Tigers are my number one team out of the gate. Picking up Torii Hunter and Anibal Sanchez in the offseason and getting back a healthy Victor Martinez has Detroit on top of the rock to kick off the preseason.
