Memorial Day honors our fallen soldiers through public events. Parades and special ceremonies honoring Memorial Day are listed alphabetically by town below.

  • Ansonia - Sunday, May 26th at 2pm the Memorial Day parade in Ansonia will begin at Nolan Field. The route will follow Wakelee Avenue, Jackson Street, and conclude at the Big Y on Main Street. Shuttle buses will provide transport starting at 12pm from the Naugatuck Savings Bank near the Big Y.
  • Berlin - The parade will take place on Monday, May 27th at 9am. The parade route starts at Farmington Avenue, turns left onto Masserio Drive, left onto Veteran's Way, and ending at Berlin Veteran's Memorial Park.
  • Branford - Their parade is on Monday, May 27, 2013. It will begin at 10am at the town gree.
  • Brookfield - Brookfield's parade will take place on May 26th at 2pm. The fun kicks off at Brookfield High School, onto Route 25, Route 133, and concludes at Center School. The Brookfield War Memorial exhibit will be open for free at the Brookfield Museum.
  • Cheshire - At 1:30pm the parade begins on Sunday, May 26th. The route starts at the police station and Highland School. The parade will end at the high school. Fore more information call (203) 272-2743.
  • Clinton - Their parade will be on May 27th, 2013.
  • Danbury - The parade will take place on May 27th at 9:30am. The route will start at the corner of Rose Street and Main Street. Services will follow at the Rose Garden. Parachute jumpers will be featured after the parade at Roger's Park.
  • Derby - The parade will be on Monday, May 27th at 9am. It will start at Cottage and Elizabeth Street in Derby and end at Howe Avenue in Shelton at approximately 11am. For more information call (203) 735-3581.
  • Ellington - Enjoy the fun of the parade with family and friends on Monday, May 27th at 9am. The route begins at Crystal Lake near the intersection of Green Street and Route 140 and will end at the Crystal Lake Cemetery. A service will follow at the cemetery.
  • Enfield - Enfield's parade will be held on May 26th starting at 1pm.
  • Milford - The parade will start at 2pm on Sunday, May 26th. There will also be a wreath laying ceremony the same day at 10am at city hall. For more information call (203) 876-0914.
  • New Britain - Stop by Broad Street or Franklin Square in New Britain on May 30th at 6pm. The parade will have jugglers, marching bands, drum corps, and clowns. For more information call (860) 826-3360.
  • Newington - Celebrate with the locals on May 25th starting at 10:30am.
  • North Haven - Their parade will start at 10:30am at North Haven Middle School at 55 Bailey Road and end at approximately 1pm at the North Haven Memorial at 18 Church Street. For more information call (203) 230-8553.
  • Norwalk - The parade will begin at 9am at Seaview Avenue's Veteran's Memorial Park on Monday, May 27th. The parade will end at East Avenue. The parade will feature bag pipes, high school and middle school marching bands, scouts, and local athletic teams. For more information call (203) 735-3581.
  • Orange - Enjoy the parade on Sunday, May 26th starting at 10:30am. The parade will start at the High Plains Community Center at the gazebo.
  • Rowayton - Rain or shine the Memorial Day parade will take place on Sunday, May 26th at 12pm. The parade route will begin at the Community Center, follow along Rowayton Avenue and McKinley Street. The parade will feature veterans, local marching bands, boy scouts, and fire fighters. The fire house will have hot dogs and soda following the parade.
  • Shelton - The parade will be on Monday, May 27th at 9am. It will start at Cottage and Elizabeth Street in Derby and end at Howe Avenue in Shelton at approximately 11am. For more information call (203) 735-3581.
  • Trumbull - At 10am on May 27th Trumbull's Memorial Day Parade will begin at Marisa's Restaurant on Main Street. The morning of the parade a memorial service will honor military at the Vietnam War Memorial on White Plains Road at 7:45am. The town hall green will host a memorial service the same day at 8:30am.
  • Vernon - Enjoy the parade on Monday, May 27th at 10am. The route starts at St. Bernard's Cemetery on Kingsbury Avenue and ends at downtown Rockville. Ceremonies will be at 10:30am at Grove Hill Cemetery and 11:15am at the town green.
  • Watertown - Monday, May 27th their parade will start at 10am at the Watertown Plaza and head north to the gazebo. For more information call (860) 945-5246.
  • West Hartford - Stop by the parade on Monday, May 27th at 10am. The fun begins at Farmington Avenue at the intersection with Woodrow Street going east, turn south to South Main Street, the east side of Goodman Green to Burr Street, and ends at the town hall parking lot. There is no rain date.
  • Wethersfeld - Their parade is on Saturday, May 25th at 9am. The route is as follows: West on State Street, Nott Street, Garden Street, left onto Church Street, right onto Main Street, left onto Garden Street, Broad Street, and ending at the cemetery. A Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Village Cemetery on Marsh Street at the conclusion of the parade.
