Autoblog dropped news yesterday (March 3,2013) that details and official pictures have leaked on the 2013 Lamborghini Veneno. Priced at over 4 million dollars and with only three examples of the Veneno being made (which all three are already sold ) this Lamborghini is a statement to McLaren and Ferrari that they still have what it takes to blow the collective minds of their fans and media moguls the world round. Not to be overshadowed by the Ferrari F150 or the McLaren P1, Lamborghini has shot back with a supercar of their own.
The Lamborghini Veneno takes the Aventador and turns the dial up to 11. First all the body panels are almost all carbon fiber. The basic design looks like it took its cues from LeMans prototype racers with headlights cascading in the front, large front and rear diffusers in the rear, and a giant GT wing splaying past the headlights. This is Lamborghini at its most extreme. Its all angles, creases, diffusers and more angles. You would be hard-pressed to find one a curved surface on this Veneno.
Power will most likely come from the Lamborghini Aventador’s V12 with power close to 740 HP routed through a seven speed gearbox and an all wheel drive system. Top speed is 220 MPH.
And by the way, the Veneno is also the name of a famous fighting bull. Lamborghini is not a car company to break tradition.
