Kia has announced plans to unveil a new version of its Soul crossover, Seoul at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show, September 12-22, 2013.
Although it will retain its general body shape, the new Soul features Kia's latest 1.6L GDI fuel engine or CRDi diesel engine, available with either manual or automatic 6-speed transmission. Other updated features, including LED daytime running lights, Xenon headlights, the "Smart Key" system for keyless entry, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, leather seating, and heated seats, and the same platform used in the Cee'd sportswagon, to “provide optimal driving comfort and handling,” as well as fuel economy.
Those visiting the Kia booth in Frankfurt next month will also be able to take a look at restyled versions of the Sportage, and Optima premium sedan, as well as the KED 10, a prototype for a compact sports utility vehicle still in the planning stage. The KED 10 is the Korean automaker’s third concept car to be introduced in 2013, following the “Provo” hybrid crossover which debuted in Geneva, and the “Cub” a 4-door coupe first exhibited in Seoul.
