The annual Far Hills (Steeplechase) Race in New Jersey will be taking place on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The Far Hills Race is one of the most attended charity fund raising benefits on the East coast, and, many people go all out bringing dining room tables and candelabras to make the event that much more special. After all, this is the place to "be seen" so why not make the most of it.
And, don' worry about what to bring as far as food. There is no law that says you must cook the food you are bringing. Nearly every grocery store from Waldbaum's to King's offer delis where you can have sandwiches made, and, buy containers of cole slaw, potato salad, and, other staples.

"General admission tickets may be purchased in advance for $60 and parking tickets for $30 through area vendors. On event day, general admission and parking tickets may only be purchased at the gate. Event day general admission is $120, parking is $30. Advance ticket sales run from September 28th until October 18th (the day prior to the race)."
