2013: Family

I recently had to make a decision that will cost me monetarily. Some people would cringe and shake their head wondering what could they have done differently What could they do to make it work in order to not be out some money? I don't see it as a loss. I, instead, view it as a great investment!

I invested in the great trust fund called: family. My family needed me due to multiple situations.

What resolutions have you made to invest into your family for 2013?

What sacrifices are you willing to make in order to put family first and remind yourself your time will come when it is right but your children need you now?

What "losses" by society's standards (but are wins in God's eyes!) are you willing to make?

We as Catholics, Christians, are still in the Year of Faith. Did you start out strong to learn about the bible, the catechism, your faith but have fizzled?

Why did you fizzle? Was it because you were trying to do it alone, thus putting a strain on your schedule, your family?

Why do we as people of faith often feel we have to separate our faith from our family? Yes, we all need private prayer time with God, but growth in our faith is perfect to do as a family!

We can learn from each other, young and old!

I challenge each of us to pick back up our commitment to the Year of Faith!

I challenge us to make sacrifices and "losses" for the sake of our family!

I challenge us to invest in the greatest bank of all: God!
