Elton John introduced a new song and shared a touching Liberace tribute on Sunday night at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards. The legendary entertainer had people glued to their chairs as he belted out the new single Home Again.
One of several tributes seen on the 2013 Emmys, the amazing vocals of Elton John had people experiencing a one-of-a-kind event for the annual award show. Dressed in a blue coat covered with sequins, the entertainer looked just as good on stage and he sounded better.
The special segment was introduced by the two men who starred in the Liberace movie. Matt Damon and Michael Douglas were both remarkable character actors in the HBO miniseries movie Behind the Candelabra. Looking to spread awareness about the film, it seemed to be the perfect fit for the stage as the show was nominated for several awards (and Michael Douglas won for his portrayal of Liberace in the HBO movie.)
