St. Louis, Missouri is a great place for kids all year round and Easter is no exception. There are many Easter egg hunts to choose from throughout the St. Louis area, including events in Ballwin, Ellisville, Chesterfield and Des Peres.
The following Easter egg hunts are scheduled for 2013:
On Sunday, March 24th, the Ellisville Elks Lodge #2664 will host a free Easter egg hunt for kids 13 and under. This is an afternoon hunt, beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m. After the egg hunt, kids should check their eggs for prizes. Parents are also welcome to participate in a raffle or purchase some great treats from the Elks Lodge bake sale. The Ellisville Elks Lodge is located at 1007 New Ballwin Road. Ballwin Baptist Church, located at 15101 Manchester Road will host an Easter egg hunt on March 30th from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. For more information on this event, contact Alena Sherman at 636- 227-2482 extension 1018.
Also on March 30th, the city of Ballwin will host their annual Easter egg hunt at Vlasis Park. This hunt is great for those who are not early risers at it begins at 1:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for eggs holding winning tickets. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance, so parents are welcome to bring cameras. This is a free event.
In Des Peres, Destiny Church will host an Easter Extravaganza on Friday, March 29th. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., kids will hunt for eggs, enjoy playing on inflatables and have a chance to get some great giveaway items. This is a free event, including food! Destiny Church is located at 1809 Des Peres Road.
On March 30th, St. Louis Family Church will host their annual Easter celebration, with egg hunts in various age groups from ages 1 to 12, starting at different times from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Younger kids hunt first, leading up to the older kids at the end. St. Louis Family Church also hosts several areas for children with activities such as face painting, games and crafts. St. Louis Family Church is located at 17458 Chesterfield Airport Road.
Also in Chesterfield, the United Methodist Church of Green Trails at 14237 Ladue Road, will host an Easter egg hunt plus lots of fun activities for kids. From 10:00 a.m. until noon, kids will enjoy gathering eggs, playing in a bounce house, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and of course, snacks! This is a free community event.
