2013 Easter egg hunts near St. Louis: St. Charles County

If you head over to St. Charles County this month, you’ll find lots of fun Easter egg hunts and activities for kids. From St. Charles to St. Peters and O’Fallon to Cottleville, kids will be able to collect tons of candy-filled eggs, see the Easter Bunny and a lot more.

Check out all the fun happenings in St. Charles in March:

St. Charles

The annual Easter Bunny Breakfast and egg hunt in Blanchette Park is scheduled for March 23rd. The event runs from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Hall. Kids will get to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny and have their pictures taken with him as well as participate in some fun crafts. The egg hunt is for children ages 1 through 8 at a cost of $8.00 per person. Children under 2 will be admitted for free. Registration is required and can be done online at stcharlesparks.com.

St. Charles Christian Church, located at 3337 Rue Royale, is also hosting an Easter egg hunt. The hunt will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on March 30th on the church grounds. For more information, call 636-947-1821.

Bass Pro Shop at Highway 70 at 5th Street will have ongoing Easter events for kids the last two weekends in March. On the weekends of March 23rd and 24th and March 30th through 31st, children can participate in Easter crafts from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will also be a special crafts session on Friday, March 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In addition, kids can get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny during any of the craft sessions as well as from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on March 25th through 29th.

Bass Pro will also feature an in-store Easter egg hunt on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The Outpost church, 1010 South Street will host an Easter egg hunt and fun fair for families on March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Children 12 and under can participate in the egg hunt which starts at 11:00 a.m. After the Easter egg hunt, families are invited to stay and enjoy a hot dog lunch, a bounce house and face painting. First United Methodist Church, 801 First Capitol Drive, will host a luncheon and Easter egg hunt on March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a free community event that includes a hot dog lunch, music, activities and goody bags for kids, a visit from the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt. St. Peters

Lifespring Community Church will host a free Easter Eggstravaganza on March 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Children ages 1 through 11 will enjoy crafts, games, face painting, a Resurrection Egg Challenge, seeing real baby chicks and an Easter basket giveaway in addition to the Easter egg hunt. The actual Easter egg hunt takes place at 1:30 p.m. For more information call 636-922-1615. Lifespring Community Church is located at 1615 Thoele Road in St. Peters.

St. Charles First Assembly of God at 4750 North Service Road will host an Easter egg hunt from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24th. For more information, call 636-936-1912.

Mid Rivers Christian Church will host a Spring Fling Easter Egg Hunt on March 30th at 11:00 a.m. Children in 5th grade or younger are invited to participate in the Easter egg hunt and then families can enjoy a free lunch afterward. O’Fallon

New Life Church (1083 Cool Springs Industrial Drive) will host an Easter egg hunt at Westhoff Park on March 30th. This event begins at 10:00 a.m. For more information, please call 636-240-3567.

The O'Fallon YMCA will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. Hunts start at 11:15 a.m. and continue throughout the afternoon. Children must be registered in advance. For more information, call 636-379-0092.

The River City Rascals are joining in the Easter fun this year, hosting their first-ever Easter egg hunt. On March 23rd at 11:00 a.m., children ages 1 through 12 can participate in this free event. For more information, call 636-240-2287.

Cottleville

The city of Cottleville will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Legacy Park. Children who arrive early can have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny at the Legacy Park cabin from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Parents should bring their own cameras for photos.
