2013 Daytona 500 qualifying: Three top 10 efforts for JGR

All three Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camrys put forth top 10 qualifying efforts during Daytona 500 qualifying on Sunday, but they’ll have to wait until Thursday’s Gatorade Duels to sort out their starting spots for the historic race.

Denny Hamlin, in the No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota, was the fastest of the JGR cars, posting the sixth-fastest speed at 195.771 mph (45.9972 seconds), while Kyle Busch posted the seventh-fastest speed in the No. 18 M&Ms Toyota (195.76 mph/45.973 seconds). Matt Kenseth, in the No. 20 Dollar General Toyota, posted the 10th-fastest speed on Sunday (195.725 mph/45.983 seconds).

Danica Patrick and Jeff Gordon will start on the front row for the Daytona 500, the only two spots locked in during Sunday’s qualifying. Patrick became the first woman to win a Cup Series pole with her qualifying lap of 196.434 mph (45.817 seconds), while Gordon starts second after a lap of 196.292 mph (45.850 seconds).
