NASCAR’s biggest race is getting ready to roll! The Daytona 500 will kick off the 2013 season in style as the 200 lap event takes place on Sunday, February 24th from the Daytona International Speedway at 1:00 p.m. EST. According to the official NASCAR website on Feb. 14, we finally have a list of the drivers who are officially entering the big race.
The 2013 list is made up of 45 drivers and Autoweek is reporting that this year's field is the smallest in years.
Last year’s entry list showed 49 cars, and 48 in 2011. 2010 and 2009 entry lists had much bigger entry fields at 54 and 56 respectively.
Either way, you know the Daytona action will be down to the wire excitement. Here is a look at the entry list field for the big race and below that are the current Las Vegas odds for the 2013 Daytona 500.
If you are in Las Vegas for this event, how could you not bet $10 on Scott Speed? Seriously, is there a better name for a NASCAR driver? The 2012 winner of the Daytona 500 was Matt Kenseth.
