My thoughts on my the 2013 International CES show are nothing short of just a flat out great experience with the best technology from all over the world! I’m going to touch on the products and technology that stood out to me most starting off with 4K TV also know as Ultra-HDTV. These new Ultra-HD sets provide an incredible 3840x2160 resolution which is four times that of the current 1080p HD. I must say I was really impressed with the amount of detail and much higher quality picture that it provides. However the main thing that will slow fast adoption is the crazy price points. Now I do believe they will drop in price pretty fast compared to when the regular HDTV sets first came out but until the content ramps up then it will be a tough road for most manufacturers. Another technology that was great to see at the 2013 CES was the OLED TV which stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode which is a totally new type of technology where as 4K Ultra HD is an increase of resolution. From 4K tablets to prototype 4K OLED TV sets from Sony and Panasonic CES has a slew of new TV’s from a several companies including a company new to the US from China called HiSense. Some of the other highlights of the show include Huawei’s new products including the Android powered Ascend Mate, which has an incredible 6.1-inch display! This device makes the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 look small! They also have some tablets including the Huawei Media pad which has a quad core cpu! Also at the show was ZTE and they where showing off the Grand S smartphone which had a 5 inch 1080p display quad core cpu amongst other nice features they’re trying to get into the US this year. Also Verizon Wireless showcased the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with 4GLTE, which is coming real soon. However in my opinion the best Android phone I saw was the Sony Xperia Z which has an absolutely fantastic design and all the high end specs you could ask for 1080p display, quad-core cpu, 13 megapixel camera and it feels great in hand! Hopefully this will be out in soon! There was so much at CES I words can’t explain please check out my video!
