2013 'BET Honors' features performances by Alicia Keys, Brandy, Wayne Brady (Photos)

"BET Honors" starts at 9 p.m. ET on Feb. 11, 2013 with performances by Alicia Keys, the SOS Band, Wayne Brady, Brandy, Mint Condition, Jimmy Jam, Ledisi, Terry Lewis and Erkah Badu.

Hosted by actress Gabrielle Union, the star-studded event on BET was taped on Jan. 12, 2013 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Honorees featured on tonight's show include the "Godfather of Black Music", Clarence Avant; actress Halle Berry; spiritual educator T.D. Jakes; legendary music icon Chaka Khan who celebrates 40 years in entertainment and music; and Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie.

The annual show on BET celebrates extraordinary African-Americans, a timely celebration in the midst of Black History Month.

Previous honorees include Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx, Cicely Tyson, Iman, Herbie Hancock, Queen Latifah, and Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Not only is tonight's "BET Honors" show great entertainment, proceeds for the show go to a worthy cause, Life Pieces to Masterpieces, Inc.

This organization provides opportunities for African American boys and young men in the greater Washington, D.C. area by empowering them to transform their lives and communities.
