The 2013-14 NFL Playoffs get under this weekend with the four Wild Card match-ups. While eight of the 12 postseason teams will be in action this weekend, the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos will rest as they receive first round byes. Here is the 2013-14 Wild Card schedule:
Saturday, an AFC Wild Card clash takes place as the Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) welcome in the Kansas City Chiefs. Kick-off is set for 4:35 p.m. on NBC with an over/under of 46.5. The Chiefs and Colts both finished the regular season at 11-5.
The night cap Saturday takes place in Philadelphia as the Eagles (-2.5) entertain the New Orleans Saints in an NFC Wild Card contest. Game time is set for 8:10 p.m. on NBC with an over/under at 54.5. The Saints finished 11-5 while the Eagles won the NFC East at 10-6.
Moving on to Sunday, the early game (1 p.m., CBS) pits the San Diego Chargers (+7) traveling to Cincinnati to battle the Bengals in an AFC Wild Card game. The over/under is currently at 46.5. The Chargers are 9-7 while Cincinnati finished at 11-5.
Finally, the Green Bay Packers (+2.5) welcome in the San Francisco 49ers in an NFC Wild Card showdown. Kick-off is slated for 4:40 p.m. on Fox with an over/under of 48. The Packers won the NFC North at 8-7-1 while the 49ers are 12-4.
With all that said, here are my predictions for Wild Card Weekend:
