On the eve of a new year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2012 and celebrate that we have a fresh 365 days to make this year even bigger and better. Maybe this past year included taking that once in a lifetime trip you’ve always envisioned, completing your first marathon or just finding the time to give back to a great cause; whatever made it special, here are some extra highlights from the year…
The places you’ll go: While relaying the best places to visit, The Ritz-Carlton’s destinations are everything an active couple could ever want. If you want to hop on a plane to see your team in a bowl game-done. Go to the coast for surfing lessons-done. Of course they offer the ultimate in service and accommodations too, but every property is truly unique and can make every check-in special and every departure leaving you excited to return.
In 2012, some featured favs included properties in California and Colorado that showcased the amazing destinations perfect for a simple weekend getaway or an elaborate celebration. One such occasion to remember marked a first for the Mile-High City with Emily and Amit's wedding; their special day was a cool blend of Latin and Indian cultures which included two ceremonies—they went from top-hats and tails, to Sari's and an Elephant Baraat in the streets of Denver. So maybe you won’t be planning a platinum event of this magnitude, but allow yourself to experience your very own moments that will stay with you long after check-out… and look forward to learning about new, adventurous places to explore together in 2013!
The people you’ll meet: From ESPN commentators to pro-skiers to those making a difference in others’ lives, the people featured in columns this year were extra special. Frequently featured is First Descents, a cause that everyone should know about as cancer is a battle that touches so many. This year will bring more stories on their amazing efforts along with more inspirational people to get to know along the way…
So from first tracks to last call-- ocean sunrises to coastal sunsets—kick-off to over-time and everything in between, make 2013 one to remember…
