It may be safe to say—since there were so many great music moments in Charlotte—that there may not be enough time in one day, or enough space in one Examiner article, for that matter, to rave about all of them. From an Examiner standpoint, there are a few moments in Charlotte’s 2012 music history that seem to stand out:
- Jane’s Addiction’s Oven’s Auditorium appearance
- Los Lonely Boys NC Music Factory appearance
- The Rock of Ages Tour at The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
- Earth Wind & Fire at Oven’s Auditorium
- 106.5’s Weenie Roast
Considering the impact of each of these events, this list barely puts a dent in the great musical events that have made their way into Charlotte’s entertainment market—simply not enough time in the day to mention them all. This is pretty interesting and exciting for Charlotte’s music lovers, considering the possibilities for 2013—as Charlotte’s music and entertainment market appears to be growing ever so rapidly.
What other great events went down in 2012..? Which ones were missed..? There’s probably several worth mentioning, from (you) the reader’s perspective. Please feel free to comment on any acts that are worth mentioning, or to make mention of any groups that need to make their way to the Queen City (Encore performances, first timers—whatever).
