Last night, WWE presented the 2012 Royal Rumble live from St. Louis, Missouri. Here are the results:
Daniel Bryan retained the World Heavyweight Championship over Big Show and Mark Henry in a three way steel cage match by escaping the cage after dropping from Show’s arm at the top the cage.
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella defeat Kelly Kelly, Eve, Alicia Fox and Tamina via pin fall when Phoenix pinned Kelly.
John Cena and Kane battle to a double count out. After the match, the two brawled to the back. Kane laid Cena out and then went into Zack Ryder’s (who was in a wheel chair) locker room and wheeled him to the ring. Ryder (who was wearing a back brace) was Tombstone pile driven. Cena then made it back to the ring but received a chokeslam.
Brodus Clay defeats Drew McIntyre via pin fall.
CM Punk retained the WWE Championship over Dolph Ziggler via pin fall. John Laurinaitis made himself the ‘outside enforcer” and had a regular WWE referee. When the referee was taken out ‘on accident’ Laurinaitis looked like he was going to screw Punk but in the end, Punk came out on top.
