2012 USEF rule changes

The 2012 horse show season is in full swing in Las Vegas. This year Vegas will play host to several horse shows for both dressage and hunter/jumper disciplines. Many of our local riders will also enter “A” shows in neighboring states over the spring and summer school breaks.

We are all thankful that our local trainers do a good job of educating riders on how to control their horses while riding on the show grounds. Especially when entering and exiting the competition arena. Riders should be aware that effective immediately, USEF-rated competitions will eliminate riders who trot or canter through the in- or out- gate. This rule change will apply to hunter, jumper and equitation riders at USEF-rated competitions.
