2012 Range Rover Sport: Nothing else like it on Denver roads

The 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has impeccable good looks and there is nothing else like it on Denver roads. The Range Rover Sport has been popular among luxury buyers here in Denver because of its superb four-wheel drive system and the security it gives its owners.

The Sport is based on the same platform as the larger Land Rover LR4 and even though its low-slung looks may suggest it's built for city slickers, the Sport has the capability to go off-road as well as any in the Land Rover lineup.

Underneath those good looks, the 2012 Range Rover Sport still comes with full-time four-wheel drive, an electronic locking rear differential, a two-speed transfer case, ascent and descent controls, and a system that synchronizes powertrain and suspension settings for best traction in conditions including snow, dirt, mud and gravel making it the perfect Denver recreational vehicle.

Inside, the cabin is what you would expect from Land Rover, beautifully crafted with excellent fit and finish. Quality materials wrap every surface, including the fine leather on all the seats.

Driver and passengers are greeted with a commanding view of the scenery and the road and may be one of the best features on the Range Rover Sport. Rear passengers feel like they are riding in a luxury coach with elevated stadium-style seating.

The Sport features a power tailgate for ease of loading. The rear hatch window does open separately though allowing smaller items to be loaded into the rear without opening the whole tailgate.

Rear seat passengers get plenty of leg room with easy ingress and egress thanks to the four corner electronic air suspension. The slab-sided body offers extra cargo space behind the second row but for a vehicle that leads its class on several counts, the Range Rover Sport rates only average in cargo capacity with 71 cubic feet. Its sloping rear window can also hamper the loading of bulky items into the rear.

Overall the 2012 Range Rover Sport is a veritable house of luxury, and offers about as much pampered refinement as you will find in any luxury SUV.
