The new installment of the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S models has hit North American dealerships. Both models are fresh, cocked full of newly designed performance enhancements.

Highlights from the newly revamped 911 Carrera and Carrera S include Porsche’s PDK 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, Automatic Start/Stop, electro-mechanical power steering, engine and transmission thermal management and electrical system recuperation.

As for the engines the Porsche 911 Carrera will have a new 3.4 liter boxer 6-cylinder making 350-hp, while the Carrera S will have a 3.8 liter boxer making 400-hp.

Sleek styling and an aggressive makeover give both of these models a subtle but effective new look. The heart of the 911 design is still evident but improved upon. The cars are also 100 lbs lighter than in their previous generations.

Either way you look at it you've got two extremely impressive cars to choose from coming to our side of the pond.
