Glitz and glamour seemed to be the theme on the forever fabulous red carpet for the 2012 Academy Awards. Many celebs came out displaying great sense of style, and confidence definitely showed in every single woman that graced the red carpet. With so many great gowns to choose from, the best dressed list for this awards show was almost too difficult to make.
Some of the top eye catching gowns of the night were worn by actresses Viola Davis, Meryl Streep, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Meryl Streep dazzled in a gold Lanvin number, the brand's first eco gown. Viola Davis stunned in a green Vera Wang gown that boasted a majestic feel, and was detailed with asymmetrical pleating. Star Gwyneth Paltrow looked angelic in a beautiful white Tom Ford gown, complete with an asymmetrical neckline, a beautiful diamond cuff, and a floor length cape. Jennifer Lopez also stunned on the red carpet in a sexy long sleeved Zuhair Murad gown that showcased her famous curves. Emma Stone was red hot and looked very elegant in a red Giambattista Valli dress, which looked great paired with her signature redhead look.
