Oscars 2012: Red Carpet, Winners and More
First, the good news. We thought presenter Milla Jovovich was easily the best dressed starlet on the red carpet tonight in her spellbinding silver Elie Saab gown. Jovovich topped off the one-shouldered gown with sparkling earrings, finger waves and an Edie Parker clutch.
Fellow presenter, Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman also looked amazing in a red strapless gown with black flecking and a stunning diamond necklace that dropped into a 'V' around her neck. These two ladies competed for our 2012 Oscars best dressed pick with George Clooney's gal pal Stacy Keibler in her alluring gold Marchesa creation. Keibler was hard to beat with that side-swept golden hair to match her dress, but Milla Jovovoich did it: best dressed!

Worst dressed at the Oscars (2012) is a title no celebrity wants to win. Tonight, though, there were a few looks that missed the mark. The black and white Marchesa gown Sandra Bullock wore just didn't look right from the front. Though the dress featured a sexy backless design, it wasn't enough to keep Sandra off our list.
Besides Bullock, actress Jessica Chastain didn't appeal to us in her black and gold McQueen gown (though we didn't mind the $2 million in Harry Winston jewelry she was wearing!), but neither ladies' look earned her the worst dressed at the Academy Awards Sunday evening. That dishonor sadly goes to Melissa McCarthy. We understand a fuller figure can be harder to style, but this was just all wrong in every way as far as we're concerned. We've seen Melissa look great at awards shows, but tonight just wasn't her night from an Oscars red carpet fashion standpoint. It reminded us of a prom dress gone very, very wrong.
