The 2012 MLB playoff schedule is starting to get interesting. Yesterday, the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s both fought off elimination by winning their Game 3 match-ups, making today's playoff schedule a baseball fan's dream.
Non-stop playoff games all day as all eight teams will be in action
In the NLDS, the Giants beat the Reds 2-1 in extra innings, while the A’s took out the Tigers 2-0 in ALDS.
The biggest losers yesterday had to be Detroit's Anibal Sanchez and the Reds Homer Bailey. Sure their teams lost, but it wasn't because of these two guys, they pitched great. Unfortunately for them, great wasn't good enough.
Bailey pitched seven innings of one hit ball while striking out ten Giants, and Sanchez pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up two runs.
It should be another exciting day of action as once again the Reds and Tigers have a chance to advance with wins, and the Nationals and Yankees finally get a shot to play on their home field.
