2012 London Olympics schedule, medal, and results for August 2

Thursday August 2 is the sixth day of events for the 2012 Olympics in London since the opening ceremony and brings high level competition with medal rounds in numerous sporting events.

Competition in archery, judo, and rowing are all nearing completion; all medals in these events will be awarded by Saturday August 4 or before.

Thursday’s schedule is full of medal round action which includes archery: women’s individual; canoe/kayak: men’s canoe doubles; canoe/kayak; women’s kayak; cycling: men’s team sprint track; women’s team sprint track; fencing: women’s team foil; gymnastics: women’s individual all-around; judo: men’s 100 kg: judo: women’s 78 kg; rowing: men’s double sculls; rowing: men’s lightweight four; rowing: women’s eight; shooting: men’s double trap; swimming: women’s 200 meter breaststroke; swimming: men’s 200 meter backstroke; swimming: men’s 200 meter individual medley; swimming: women’s 100 meter freestyle; and table tennis: men’s singles.
