The 54th Annual Grammy Awards are taking place as scheduled tonight, albeit with the solemn weight of Whitney Houston's sudden death heavy on everyone's mind.
Music superstars such as Nicki Minaj, Adele, Rhianna, Kelly Rowland and Ledisi all graced the red carpet, along with Birdman, Tyga, Rick Ross and countless others.
Host LL Cool J opened the nights festivities with a prayer for the family of Whitney Houston, followed by a rousing performance from Bruno Mars, which was also dedicated to the late Ms. Houston.
