2012 Grammy Awards: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Prediction & Analysis

2012 Grammy Awards: Best Rap/Sung Collaboration nominees
•Party, Beyonce & Andre 3000
•I'm On One, DJ Khaled, Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne
•I Need a Doctor, Dr. Dre, Eminem & Skylar Grey
•What's My Name, Rihanna & Drake
•Motivation, Kelly Rowland & Lil Wayne
•All of the Lights, Kanye West, Rihanna, Kid Cudi & Fergie

This year's Grammy field for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration is a bit tricky to predict, because several artists have multiple nominations. Kanye West might be considered the favorite for "All of the Lights," which is also up for Song of the Year. The track features Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Fergie, and several other uncredited acts. Kanye and Rihanna have each won this award three times, so this is the logical 2012 winner.

But Rihanna is also nominated for "What's My Name," another strong contender, which features Drake. What's holding back that song is the fact that Drake is also nominated for "I'm On One," which features Lil Wayne, who is also nominated with Kelly Rowland for "Motivation." You can see how confusing this is getting.

Eminem is always a contender at the Grammys, and Beyonce can never be ruled out. But since Kanye was overlooked in most of the major categories, and since he may not win Rap Album of the Year, we think voters will reward him here.
