2012 Grammy Awards: Best Country Album nominees
•My Kinda Party, Jason Aldean
•Chief, Eric Church
•Own the Night, Lady Antebellum
•Red River Blue, Blake Shelton
•Here for a Good Time, George Strait
•Speak Now, Taylor Swift

Last year, Lady Antebellum took home a whopping 5 Grammy Awards, including Record and Song of the Year for "Need You Now." This year, the duo scored just one nod, but it's a big one - Best Country Album.

Fierce competition will come from past winners Taylor Swift and George Strait. Swift was the Grammys' darling two years ago but 'Speak Now' wasn't as big a crossover smash as 'Fearless.'

Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean both had big years and could figure into the mix. Strait is usually the default choice for any country music award when there are no other appealing nominees, but this is a stacked category this year, so he's probably not taking this one home.

It's Lady Antebellum vs. Taylor Swift here - two former winners whose current albums weren't as successful as their previous efforts. Has the Grammy love for Lady A faded? We don't think so.
